Ashley Walters: Top Boy and Bulletproof star becomes grandfather at 38

Actor Ashley Walters is celebrating becoming a grandfather at the age of 38.

The star of Netflix's Top Boy and Sky's Bulletproof posted about the birth on Instagram.

"Wow, How good is God," he posted

"Meet my granddaughter guys. Neveah Jade Walter 6/12/2020/ Well done Son. I'm so proud of you and T. More life."

Noel Clarke was one of the first to congratulate him, with Walters' Bulletproof co-star having a cheeky dig, posting: "You're a granddad now. You will never hear the end of this from me!! Love ya man."

Chelsea star Tammy Abraham and musicians Giggs and Michael Dapaah (Big Shaq) were also among those sending their love.

Walters did not say which of his sons had become a dad.

The Peckham-born star has two children and a stepson with actress wife Danielle Isaie, and two older sons and a daughter with former partner Natalie Williams.

He also shares two daughters with another former partner.

Walters first found fame in the group So Solid Crew, best known for their 2001 hit 21 Seconds.

In recent years he's been highly praised for his role as Dushane in Top Boy - which first aired on Channel 4 nine years ago.

The series - about London drug gangs - moved to Netflix last year after rapper Drake said he was a fan and helped resurrect the show.

Walters also stars alongside Noel Clarke in Sky One's Bulletproof, with the pair playing maverick detectives Bishop and Pike.
