Yahoo News Ashwin-Gibbs banter gets ugly on Twitter
India off-spinner R Ashwin and former South Africa cricketer Herschelle Gibbs were caught in a Twitter war on Monday. It all started with Ashwin’s tweet on a shoe brand that he endorses. This is how it all panned out.

Gibbs responded by ribbing Ashwin on his perceived slowness in the field:

The joke was obviously lost on Ashwin, who flared up and immediately the exchange took a dark turn as he raked up Gibbs’ alleged history of match fixing.

Gibbs, however, retained his composure:

Ashwin then sought to explain his outburst:
