More than two in three SurreyLive readers don't think Sir Keir Starmer will make a good Prime Minister, our survey has found. At the time of writing, 68% of readers responded to our snap poll saying they didn't think the new Prime Minister would do a good job.

Despite this, voters across the country voted Starmer's party into a landslide victory. In Surrey, prior to the vote, the Conservatives had held all 11 seats.

Due to boundary changes, there were 13 seats contested at this year’s election, two of which straddle neighbouring counties - Windsor and the newly formed Farnham and Bordon.

Despite Labour's landslide across the country, the picture in Surrey painted a different story - with Labour making no gains in the county. In total, the Conservatives now hold seven Surrey seats, while the Liberal Democrats occupy six.
