An Assassin's Creed TV series really is happening

From Digital Spy

Around November of last year, Ubisoft head honcho Yves Guillemot stated that the famous games publisher was talking to Netflix about bringing some of its IP to the small screen.

Yves didn't state which properties could be making the crossover, but there was one franchise on every gamer's mind - and it sure wasn't Just Dance.

Now those rumours of an Assassin's Creed TV show have been confirmed by none other than Assassin's Creed Head of Content (he means #content), Azaïzia Aymar.

Azaïzia was taking part in a very polite Reddit Ask Me Anything where an inquisitive fan asked about a TV project, to which he replied:

"It's like the movie guys, we will take our time, to get sure we deliver something we can be proud of, but if you wander if it's on our plan... YES".

And just in case the thread gets deleted, we've got the evidence right here:

Okay, so the TV show won't be popping out of a haystack anytime soon and, judging by the comment, it seems to be in the planning stages, but we do know Ubisoft are committed to making it a reality.

Is it going to come to Netflix? Will it tie into the Michael Fassbender movie? Will it be based off Black Flag (which is the best one, by the way)?

Only time will tell.
