This Saturday, Brick Lane venue 93 Feet East will host the first edition of a new day party, Assembly.
Coming from the founders of the By Day By Night events, this new party will run with monthly dates at both the Brick Lane venue and the nearby Cargo. Expect deep house with a chunky sound from the D&B sound system and a roster of top-notch DJs.
With a motto of “assembling the house community together”, the parties will be built around Assembly's newly-formed group of residents, who will be a continuous feature of the series and form the majority of the line-ups. The aim to is build a familiarity among their guests and create a regular gathering of friendly faces.
With multiple music rooms, top sound production, a taco truck and cocktail bars, there will be festival feel to this Shoreditch party. The main room is glass-sided, ideal for daytime dancefloor action, and there is also the brilliant outdoor courtyard.
Josh Parkinson is a rising star of the UK house scene and is at the forefront of Assembly. Pete Tong premiered Parkinson's new tune Alternate, which was picked up by MistaJam on Radio 1Xtra for four weeks in a row. Parkinson will play a high-energy tech-house set with a funky twist, and he also MCs. Don't miss him.
As for the rest of the line up, their identity will be kept on the down low as they are playing under pseudonyms. Their aliases allow them to bring a different sound from their other projects. A few top tips: Bengle is Adam from deep house duo Blonde, and Les Lawson is Charlie from Eton Messy.
