Aston Villa have confirmed left-back Sebastian Revan has signed a contract extension with the club but has made a surprise Deadline Day loan departure to Rotherham United.

The 20-year-old played a full 90 minutes for the Villans during Thursday night’s Europa Conference League victory over Hibernian but he won’t feature under Unai Emery for the rest of the season.

Revan heads to the Championship for the first big loan move of his career after temporary experiences at Grimsby Town and Hereford in the National League and National League South respectively.
