Aston Villa protest plan ramped up in build up to Everton clash
Aston Villa supporters are being encouraged to partake in the forthcoming planned protest before and during this Saturday evening's hosting of Everton, in response to the club's Champions League ticketing policy.
Villa welcome Everton to Villa Park for the 5:30pm kick off and some within the club's fanbase have proposed and organised peaceful protests in order for match-goers to display their anger towards the pricing of Champions League tickets for home games, which were confirmed earlier this month.
Some Villa supporters, wishing to attend any of the coming home games in the Lions' first season back in Europe's premier competition in over 40 years, will have to pay just shy of £100 depending on where you sit. The cheapest ticket for an adult in the ground is £74 - and that is only on the proviso you're a season ticket holder in the first place.

Villa will host Bayern Munich, followed by visits from Juventus, Bologna and Celtic in the newly formatted Champions League. The Munich clash, next month, has already sold out despite the pricing. Protests, and the 'Stop Exploiting Loyalty' campaign, are being pushed as a result.
Villa fans attending the Everton game are being encouraged to show red cards for the opening 97 seconds of the match. These cards are to be distributed to home fans at the bottom of Holte End steps, the new North Stand Fan Zone, the Lower North entrance (for away fans too, if they wished), the entrance to the Witton Arms pub and accompanying garden and the Sacred Heart.
The Villa Academy, on social media, are also encouraging fans to boycott food and drink outlets within Villa Park on all forthcoming Champions League nights.
