Aston Villa have been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix amid claims Unai Emery wants him at Villa Park this summer.

Felix looks set to leave Madrid in the summer after a series of loan moves but his relationship with manager Diego Simeone was said to be fractious. The 2019 Golden Boy award winner, who cost Madrid £113m, now looks set to leave even though he has five years left on his current deal.

Benfica and Villa have been mentioned by the Spanish press as potential destinations, but it's not the first time the latter have been linked with the attacker. Barcelona also appear a potential move after Felix spent the past year with Xavi Hernandez's side, scoring 10 and assisting six in 44 appearances.

But the major problem is the finances involved in the deal and they will have to be sorted out and another loan looks likely. Villa fans have had plenty to say about a potential move for Felix given the cost of the deal and the wages it is likely to incur.

Here is what they had to say on Birmingham Live.

Mac78: "Turned us down before, most likely thinks the same now, waste of time and effort (and money if he does have a change of heart)."

Villa56: "Not for me. I can't see what the fuss is about. A slightly better version of Betrand Traore."

MikeCoolRuler: "Still have some doubt about Felix, he is obviously a decent young talented player though. The "financial muscle" is no surprise, the sale of Kellyman, Sanson and Ireogbunam, put us into a healthy position, maybe moved us to around £40m in losses for last season, factor Luiz in and we could have actually turned in a small profit £2-3m. They have some money to spend, Monchi has taken care of that."

PedroGringo: "Despite his low age he has hardly proven himself in the prem. Too many similarities to Couthino situation."

Barrie11: "Is overpaid and done nothing worth mentioning in the last couple of years. He couldn’t hack it in the PL so why are we wasting time on him."

VileVillian: "I was wondering when this beauty would resurface again."
