'I ate like Donald Trump for a whole day – I can't believe what he has for lunch'
A man decided to take on the diet of ex-US President Donald Trump for a day, and the experience left TikTok user Cooking With Congress rather taken aback.
Host Bennett Rea embarked the challenge, documenting the rather unconventional food choices of the former US president - from regularly consuming well-done steaks to nightly McDonald's meals. The influencer expressed his dismay at the dietary habits of the contentious past world leader.
Bennett found himself skipping breakfast in place of a Diet Coke mirroring Trump's preference. He remarked: "Trump prefers to skip breakfast when he can, and he's not a coffee or a tea drinker. Diet Coke is his drink of choice, he had a Diet Coke button installed in the White House that sometimes supplied him 12 cans per day."

Bennett also indulged in snacks akin to those Trump favoured, such as Lays (known as Walkers in the UK) Crisps and Doritos, noting the former president would always begin with a new bag due to his "bit of a germophobe" nature, which also impacted his dining selections.
Over the course of his taste test, the host consumed seven cans of Diet Coke yet still found space to tackle Trump's eclectic choices for lunch and dinner.
Bennett also enjoyed a lunch of a well-done steak smothered in ketchup alongside a salad. He described the steak as "cooked until it curls on the plate" and noted that the modestly-sized meal left ample space for an indulgent dinner.
The day's eating concluded with a McDonald's feast of two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish, and a small chocolate shake, which Bennett admitted made him feel "pretty happy". He shared: "My tastebuds are pretty happy, my stomach was a little upset a few times. I'm pretty scared about tomorrow morning."
Bennett also expressed his mixed feelings after the fast-food binge, saying: "I kinda can't tell whether I feel like playing tackle football or fighting a cop or just kinda like lying down in the darkness. I can't do Diet Coke anymore."
