Atlanta Police Officers Use Batons, Fire Extinguishers to Save People From Burning Cars

A group of five Atlanta police officers used batons, fire extinguishers and quick thinking to save the lives of two people trapped in a burning vehicle on September 20.

This body cam footage shows one of the officers responding to the fiery accident. The officer begins using his baton to break the car windows, while other responders arrive on the scene with fire extinguishers.

The people in the car – an unconscious driver and a trapped passenger – were eventually freed and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in serious condition.
