Attempted murder arrest after Wolverhampton drive-by shooting leaves three women in hospital
A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a drive-by shooting left three women in hospital. A gun was fired from a car on Frederick Street in the Graiseley area of Wolverhampton at around 11pm on Friday, September 27.
West Midlands Police said it arrested a man from the Parkfield area of the city yesterday evening, September 29, on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody today, September 30.
Two women remain in hospital in a stable condition. The police force has increased its presence following the shooting, as investigators continue to piece together what happened. Frederick Street is where the entrance to St John's Retail Park, located just off the Ring Road, is located.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We’ve arrested a man in his 20s as investigations continue after three people were injured in Wolverhampton on Friday (27 Sept). Inquiries were launched following reports of a gun being fired from a car on Frederick Street at around 11pm.
"Yesterday evening (Sunday) a 21-year-old man was detained in the Parkfield area of the city on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in custody today as investigators continue to establish exactly what happened.
"Following the incident three women were taken for hospital treatment and two remain in hospital in a stable condition. We've an increased presence in the area to reassure the local community and we’d ask anyone who’s yet to speak to us, but thinks they can help enquiries, to get in touch.
