Sweet job! Cadbury's and Oreo are hiring a professional chocolate taster

In news that will inevitably cause you to hand in your notice, the company behind some of the world’s biggest chocolate products is looking to hire a chocolate TASTER – and it’s a role that will be based in the UK.

Mondelez International, who own brands including Cadbury, Oreo, Milka and Prince have announced that they’re on the lookout for a UK based taster to try their products for five days a week.

A listing for the role, posted on LinkedIn, states that the ideal candidate must be someone who is ‘able to taste chocolate and cocoa beverage products and give objective and honest feedback.’

Other key requirements include the ability to ‘Use a clearly defined vocabulary to describe products and aid in the discrimination between products.’

But it seems that the role also runs far deeper than just stuffing sweet treats in your gob – with the perfect candidate also required to ‘know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; raise questions and concerns when faced with an ethical or compliance issue; apply integrity in all aspects of professional conduct.’

If that’s you, then you’d probably also need to know that the role is based in Reading, and a ‘a part-time position, to work 7.5 hours per week Tuesday-Thursday 12:15-2.45pm.’

That said, we reckon that they’re already being bombarded with applications – so you should head here pronto to get yours in.
