She said: “There was a fantastic atmosphere in the hall on Saturday night.
“The community is hugely supportive of our events and an amazing amount of money was raised.
“We are extremely grateful to Erskine Eyecare for sponsoring our event, covering all expenses and providing wonderful prizes for the winners.
“The committee would like to thank everyone who participated and assisted with the event.
“It was a great evening of entertainment, and the committee served a lovely spread at the interval.
“Congratulations to winning team ‘Elmira’, following a very close contest and a well-played Joker.”
Christine continued: “Huge thanks to everyone who came along to support the event, to those who made donations, Gill at Auchterarder Health Foods for selling tickets on our behalf, Mandy at the community church hall and the committee and helpers.
“Special thanks to Scott Busby and the team at Erskine Eyecare for sponsoring the event – and to Blair and Jenny Duncan for composing and delivering the quiz.”
The next event in the busy Auchterarder Macmillan Cancer Support Fundraising Group calendar is the annual Christmas concert.
Further details in relation to the popular seasonal event are set to be announced shortly.
