Aussie Snake Catcher Plucks Venomous Snake From Sliding-Door Track

A venomous red-bellied black snake hiding in a sliding door track at a home in Wurtulla, Queensland, Australia, almost went unnoticed until the family cat clued the household in to the unwelcome visitor.

Footage posted on Facebook on December 30 by local snake catcher Stuart McKenzie shows the snake camouflaging into the dark line of the door track.

“Snakes can even get inside when the sliding doors are shut,” McKenzie wrote in the original Facebook post.

“There is a tiny gap under a sliding glass door sometimes where snakes can squeeze into the door tracks and slide under the sliding door and come out the other end into a house,” he added. Credit: Stuart McKenzie via Storyful
