Don’t hate him because he’s beautiful. Looking for all the world like a painting on the side of a 1970s van, surfer Josiah Schmucker rode a picture-perfect barrel wave as the sun set in sherbet hues in the Great Australian Bight on September 11.
Jeff Schmucker, Josiah’s father, who recorded the video from a jet ski, told Storyful that he and his son were out “alone in the dark with great white sharks” when the footage was recorded.
