Avalanche Mitigation Work Continues in Summit County After Skier Killed

A 57-year-old man died after being caught in an avalanche in Summit County, Utah, on January 30, police said.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office said the avalanche, in a backcountry area known as Square Top, was triggered by two skiers on Saturday. One of the skiers was caught in the avalanche. The victim’s body was recovered on Sunday.
