Details on Avengers: Infinity War are few and far between as the filmmakers try and keep as much info under wraps.

But the Winter Soldier aka Bucky Barnes has given us a tantalising taste of what to expect when Marvel's superheroes line up to take on Thanos.

Sebastian Stan has spoken about the direction he thinks his character is taking, comparing him to Game of Thrones favourite Jon Snow (via MTV).

At the Toronto Film Festival where he is promoting I,Tonya, Stan said: "I feel a lot like that Jon Snow character [in] 'Battle of the Bastards'.

"When there's that shot of Jon Snow, from the back as horses are charging at him and he's just standing there, that's kind of how I feel on set at times. Will I make this stampede or not?"

Intriguing....

We're assuming it's Bucky facing off against Thanos' minions and that he's been welcomed into the Avenger fold, despite that awkward issue of his killing of Tony Stark's parents whilst under hypnosis.

Stan added the scale of the film from directors Joe and Anthony Russo is something beyond what Marvel has already achieved, which is undeniable given the cast list alone for the characters involved in this story.

He said: "It certainly is the biggest culmination of anything and everything they [Marvel] have done so far.

"It's just going to be bigger and crazier than anything."

We do know Bucky will be out of his cryosleep after he was seen being brought to Wakanda and given protection by T'Challa in the post-credits scenes of Captain America: Civil War, so it won't be a flashback we're restricted to in Infinity War.

We might see a Captain America-esque self-reflection from the Winter Soldier, as Stan added his character is still "figuring out where he's at".

But no confirmation on rumours Bucky will be picking up Cap's shield with Chris Evans retiring from the MCU.

Stan would only say: "It's just speculation. We've just got to all survive this war."

Avengers: Infinity War is released in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018 and US cinemas on May 4, 2018.
