From Digital Spy

We only got the first Avengers: Endgame trailer in early December, but fans are already desperate to see more from the biggest movie of 2019 – and they could be getting it soon.

The 2019 Super Bowl takes place on Sunday, February 3 in Atlanta and even if you're not into American Football, it'll once again provide a showcase for new trailers to premiere during one of the biggest TV events of the year in America.

Last year, we got new looks at the likes of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, A Quiet Place and the surprise Netflix release of The Cloverfield Paradox, but what can we expect from this year's event?

(Just as a quick note, we haven't included any Warner Bros movies, such as Shazam!, Joker or IT: Chapter 2, as they don't usually advertise at the Super Bowl. Then again, there's always a first time for everything...)

We'd be surprised if the Super Bowl goes by without a look at Avengers: Endgame, although you shouldn't expect another full trailer.

Last year, Avengers: Infinity War received a 'Big Game Spot' (which usually clock in between 30 and 60 seconds). It mostly comprised the footage from the first trailer, but featured some enticing new bits, so we can expect similar from the Avengers: Endgame TV spot.

Talking of Marvel, there's also a chance we'll get yet more footage from Captain Marvel. However, with two trailers and a "special look" released already, we don't think it'll be anything more than a TV spot or tie-in advert.

2. Toy Story 4

We've already had two teasers for Toy Story 4 to introduce us to the new characters, but we're waiting for the first proper trailer.

There's every chance it'll be coming at the Super Bowl as, according to Trailer Track, a trailer has been rated in Canada and, given it's called "Trailer E", it's unlikely to be either of the previous trailers.

Last year, Disney used the Super Bowl for a new Solo: A Star Wars Story TV spot, so this year's non-Marvel offering could well be Toy Story 4.

But if you're waiting for a Star Wars Episode IX trailer (or even title announcement), it probably won't be at the Super Bowl. It's more likely at this moment in time that Disney will hold the first trailer for the Star Wars Celebration event in April, much like they did with The Last Jedi.

3. Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw

With Universal using last year's Super Bowl for new Skyscraper and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailers, we're almost 100% certain that we'll get the first footage from Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw this year.

And if we had any doubt, Dwayne Johnson has already been hyping up the release of the trailer on Instagram. Replying to Complex's post of an image from the movie, Johnson wrote: "Promise to deliver. Keep your eyes peeled during the Super Bowl."

We've already had numerous images from the movie shared on Johnson's Instagram, so the only thing left before the movie's August release date is to see some actual footage – and we can't wait.

4. Aladdin

Another possible Disney offering would be a full trailer for Guy Ritchie's live-action take on Aladdin.

The release of the first look at Will Smith as the Genie was met with disappointment and had him assuring fans that he would be blue in the movie. What better place to show off the blue Genie than at the Super Bowl?

Of course, Disney might just be waiting to release the trailer with the cinema release of Dumbo in March, the first of three Disney remakes this year.

5. Pet Sematary

The Super Bowl might seem an odd place to release new footage from horror remake Pet Sematary, but Paramount did use last year's event for a new TV spot for A Quiet Place.

That movie went on to be the smash hit horror of the year – helped by the fact it was seriously great, of course – so Paramount could consider a similar strategy for the latest Stephen King novel to hit the big screen.

The only other Paramount releases that could feature if the studio buys an advertising slot would be gender-flipped remake What Men Want and Elton John biopic Rocketman. We've had a couple of trailers for the former, but only a teaser for the latter.

6. X-Men: Dark Phoenix

There's an outside shot of a new look at the delayed X-Men: Dark Phoenix, but we wouldn't want you to get too excited.

It's Fox's big release of the summer, so there's a chance it might want to restart the marketing campaign (the first trailer was released just before the movie was pushed back). However, last year, all Fox aired at the Super Bowl was a Red Sparrow TV spot, despite having Deadpool 2 coming out in May.

So it's more likely that we'll get a TV spot for either Alita: Battle Angel (out the same week) or The Kid Who Would Be King (out February 15).
