Marvel fans are hoping that rumours of an all-female Avengers reboot are true, with a new report suggesting that the identity of the ensemble’s leader could be somebody quite unexpected.

With the Avengers series seemingly wrapped up for the time being following the release of 2019 blockbuster Endgame, there is much speculation as to what the studio’s next ensemble movie might be.

As interest surrounding the addition of characters from X-Men and Fantastic Four intensifies, thanks to comments made by studio president Kevin Feige at Comic-Con in July 2019, a new rumour is suggesting that the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s women characters could unite for a new mash-up project.

While most people are assuming that this team would be led by Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, it seems they could be led by another character altogether – somebody we’re years away from meeting.

According to We Got This Covered, the leader could be She-Hulk, who will be introduced in her very own Disney+ television show that’s expected to also feature Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner.

The character, created by Stan Lee and John Buscema in 1980, is Banner’s cousin Jennifer Waters.

Her debut will mark the character’s first appearance in live-action having previously appeared on numerous animated Marvel shows as well as video games voiced by actors including Eliza Dushku and Katee Sackhoff.

It’s currently unkonwn when She-Hulk will debut on the streaming service.

Of course, this is all speculation and we will update as we learn more.

Next on the Marvel agenda will be the delayed Black Widow followed by The Eternals, which was shifted to 2021 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
