Aviation Fan Recreates American Airlines Cabin at Home

An aviation fan in California did not hesitate when the opportunity to purchase business-class seats from an aircraft dismantler presented itself, footage from January 31 shows.

Video by Tahsir Ahsan shows the seats being unloaded off a truck in front of his home in Irvine. Ahsan then recorded the finished product, which he and his friends assembled in their garage.

Ahsan told Storyful that the seats came from an American Airlines 767 that had recently been “retired”. They still worked, he said, and even reclined to a fully flat position.

He uploaded the footage to Twitter with the caption, “People steal blankets off planes but I took the whole cabin from an American Airlines 767.” Credit: Tahsir Ahsan via Storyful
