Award-winning Glastonbury cafe with secret garden has 'fantastic homemade food'
A pioneering vegetarian eatery with a 'secret garden' has once again been honoured with the prestigious Gold Seal at the 2024/25 Good Food Awards. This marks the second consecutive year that the Rainbow’s End Café, has received this distinction.
For over two decades, the family-owned Rainbow’s End Café has led the vegetarian scene in Glastonbury, situated conveniently on High Street between Art of Africa and the Goddess and Green Man. With an outstanding food hygiene rating, they have secured multiple accolades including the 2024 Britain in Bloom Silver Gilt Award in Business, Leisure and Tourism, The Restaurant Guru 2022 Best Cafe in Glastonbury, and the Good Food Award 2023/24 Gold Seal prior to the latest achievement.
The café also boasts a 'secret garden' leading to St. Johns Square car park and is celebrated for its sumptuous homemade fare, featuring an array of salads, hearty main dishes, and decadent cakes.

The café's mission has always been to provide top-notch, tasty food that just so happens to be vegetarian and vegan. The establishment also maintains a strictly vegetarian menu in an effort to reduce the consumption of Earth's resources and minimise their environmental impact.
The awards celebrate teams who are distinguished by their unmatched dedication to culinary excellence, with key focus on superior food quality, exceptional service standards and delivering value for money. "Making our Gold Seal a marque of distinction," explained the Good Food Awards spokesperson.
