An award-winning nursery with locations in Singapore and Malaysia is set to open a branch in London. Odyssey has won awards such as TheAsianParent (TAP) Awards for ‘Expert’s Choice’ in 2023 and ‘Most Holistic Campus’ in 2024.

Odyssey opened its first campus in 2008, but is set to open another in Marylebone this Spring. The teaching style used at Odyssey is inspired by the schools of Reggio Emilia, which has been recognised for their innovative teaching and use of practice based teaching.

Alongside typical languages taught in the UK like French and Spanish, Odyssey will also be offering Chinese as an option for parents to choose from. Odyssey also states that while the UK curriculum will be ‘authentic to the Odyssey philosophy’ and share similar styles to their Asian schools, it will still meet and go above the British ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’ guidelines.

Angela Ang from Odyssey said: “We believe we have a unique and unrivalled offering and cannot wait to open the doors to curious families interested in a truly global learning experience’ and that their Marylebone campus is expected to be a ‘popular addition’ due to the level of enquiries they have already received.”

The campus is set to feature an atelier art room and music studio with dedicated art and music mentors as well as an outdoor area with ‘grow your own’ garden and a climbing wall to encourage learning through physical movement. In terms of catering, Odyssey plans to provide a menu of “nutritional and delicious cuisines” from countries across the world, all prepared by the in-house chef.

Educators at London’s Odyssey campus will be staffed from the Singapore location, who are all “highly qualified” and “well experienced”. Children will also be supported throughout their journey by ‘infant mentors’
