Award-winning restaurant in Cornwall gets gold in 'Best Restaurant of the Year award'
A CORNWALL restaurant is celebrating having recently won the 'Best Restaurant of the Year' from a prestigious regional tourism awards organisation.
The Idle Rocks, the harbourside hotel in the idyllic Cornish town of St Mawes, has said it is delighted to announce it has won the Gold Award for 'Best Restaurant of the Year' at last night’s 2023 South West Tourism Awards.
According to the hotel, this is another 'brilliant' accolade for the hotel and award-winning restaurant led by Head Chef, Dorian Janmaat as it steps into spring.
Located in the coastal retreat that is The Idle Rocks, the restaurant offers refined and eye-catching dishes that feature some fine Cornish ingredients.
Seasonal menus exhibit a wealth of flavours and textures along with superb views of the St Mawes Harbour.
A spokesperson from The Idle Rocks said: "The award is a true testament to the culinary team at the hotel and their efforts in constantly going above and beyond to ensure that every guest leaves with an unforgettable experience, and a desire to return through the doors of The Idle Rocks.
"The Awards, which themselves retained their ‘Outstanding’ accreditation in the Awards Trust Mark scheme, are the culmination of 11 months of evidence gathering, online entry, judging and county awards."
