Louis Walsh has revealed that he doesn’t miss the X Factor.
Walsh, who sat on the judging panel for 13 years before stepping down ahead of the current series, explained that he was enjoying time away from the ITV talent show.
“I am in a really good place as I am back to my old job. I had a great time on the show but I’m now doing Ireland’s Got Talent.
“I am in Dublin, Westlife are back…It’s good,” he added to the Daily Star.
Despite no longer being linked to the show, Louis admitted that he is still watching the programme.
Sharing his thoughts on the acts and his replacement Robbie Williams, Louis added:
“I’ve been watching it. It is a good show.
“I’ve been keeping an eye on Brendan the Irish guy… Robbie is doing great too.”
Louis also praised Simon Cowell and insisted that they were still pals.
“Me and Simon are still good friends. He is the best at what he does – he knows what he is doing.”
Meanwhile, X Factor hopeful Scarlett Lee praised mentor Simon after he sent her a range of gifts following her house fire ordeal.
Lee, who had to leave the competition for a few days as a result of the shocking incident, took to her Facebook page to share pictures of the presents the TV judge sent her.
“Where do I even begin? For every person who ask’s what’s Its like to work with Simon what’s it like to know him … well Simon not only my mentor but the kindest person I will ever meet, he has a heart of pure gold,” she wrote on the social media page.
“Tonight we had a surprise delivery for my brother his wife and children full of presents toys for them all, He Has made my family so happy and that means the world to me…”
Addressing Simon, Scarlett continued: “You are genuinely the nicest person I’ve ever met and you never forget who was there for you when you’re down and you have stood by us through it all … thank you so so much [sic].”
A card from the media mogul read: “Thinking of you at this difficult time.”
