Aya Hachem’s brother: 'I hope these people rot in prison'

Seven men have been jailed for life for murdering a student who was shot dead in a feud between two businessmen. Aya Hachem was mistakenly killed in the drive-by shooting in Blackburn in May 2020. The 19-year-old was on her way to the supermarket to buy food for her family to break their Ramadan fast, when she was hit. Speaking outside Preston Crown Court on Thursday afternoon, Aya’s brother, Ibrahim, said: “My pain, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.”.
