Aziz Ansari UK tour: Comedian to play dates in London and Manchester after sexual misconduct claims

Aziz Ansari has announced a series of UK dates – his first in the country since facing accusations of sexual misconduct last year.

The comedian will play venues in Manchester and London as part of his Road to Nowhere tour. The Master of None actor and writer will also play dates in the US and Canada as part of the tour.

Tickets for the UK dates go on sale 10am on Friday, 18 January. See the full listings below.

Manchester Apollo – Monday, 1 April

Hammersmith Eventim Apollo, London – Wednesday, 3 April

Royal Albert Hall, London – Thursday, 4 April

Ansari was accused of misconduct in January 2018, when the website Babe published an article in which a Brooklyn alleged a date with the 35-year-old almost became “sexual assault” back in his apartment.

The comedian responded with a statement expressing his “surprise and concern” to be told the woman had felt violated via text the next day.

“I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said,” he wrote. “I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture. It is necessary and long overdue.”

Many notable figures – including Whoopi Goldberg – went on to criticise the accuser, as well as its article, for seemingly denting the proactive results achieved by the TimesUp movement.
