This cheeky chameleon knows how to work the camera - by giving it a sly wink.

Despite its green camouflage, the baby chameleon was spotted by photographer Ed Oelofse, 32, at her home in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.

Ed, who now lives in Milton Keynes said: 'I took these photos sitting outside my bedroom in Victoria Falls and despite being so tiny and perfectly blending into the background, I managed to spot the little guy.

She said: 'I'm pleased I managed to get these snaps, which show him winking as if he is posing for the camera.

'I didn't take too many because I didn't want to stress the little guy out.

'Chameleons have a way of telling you when they not happy with a specific environment and as such, change colour to suit their surroundings, this little guy was pretty happy with being photographed.’

Ed's captivating pictures show just how small and fragile the reptile is - the size of a finger - and demonstrate how the chameleon protects itself through is incredible camouflage skin.

Ed said: 'Being able to work and be so close to wildlife is something many people take for granted. But being able to teach someone about the natural world and how to look after it, is the best part of what I do.'
