Adorable Baby Giraffe Saved From Drowning On First Public Appearance At Zoo
A baby giraffe landed himself in hot water after he dived head-first into a moat on his first public appearance at the Hagenbeck Zoo
It appears this baby giraffe got a case of stage fright on his first public appearance at the Hagenbeck Zoo in Germany.
The little one sparked drama after plunging into the enclosure’s moat and had to be saved from drowning by keepers.
Things seemed to be going well to begin with when one-month-old Nakuru was allowed out into the enclosure for the first time.
But the shy youngster appeared to get spooked and dived straight into the water, forcing five keepers to jump in and help little Nakuru back onto dry land.
According to keeper Jill Jensen the young giraffe is no worse the wear for his ordeal.
She added that he had no doubt learned his lesson and would stay far away from the water from now on.
