An injured baby owl was rescued from the middle of a road in the Cape Cod town of Orleans, Massachusetts, late on Monday, January 2, police said.
Video posted on Facebook by the Orleans Police Department shows Officer John Marsinelli crouching down and taking hold of the tiny owl with a pair of mitts.
The owl was brought to Wild Care, a wildlife rehabilitation center in the neighboring town of Eastham, on Tuesday morning, police said.
According to Angela Clark, a Public Safety Dispatcher at the Orleans Police Department, Wild Care said the owl was “very healthy” and that his wings were in good condition, but that he had a concussion and was receiving oxygen. Credit: Orleans Police Department via Storyful
