Baby's Reaction to Meeting a Real-Life Ballerina Is Pure Joy

From Good Housekeeping

We can't know for sure what goes on in the mind of babes, but it's safe to say that little Stella Schwendeman was transfixed when she found herself vis-à-vis with a faerie ballerina at the Faerie Festival at Rockwood Park in Wilmington, Delaware.

When ballerina Abigail Cowan met Stella's gaze, sparks flew. When Cowan smiled at her admirer, Stella absolutely lost it. The result? An instant love affair with everything ballet.

Stella's mom, Kiersten Schwendeman, told ABC News that there must have been "something about that ballerina," because Stella was, prior to her fated interaction with Abigail, completely unaccustomed to "anything ballet-related." When Stella was rotated en face (ballerina-speak for "face forward"), so that she was directly in front of Abigail, "she just lit up and started trying to talk to her."

We'll never know if it was Cowan's tiara, her bedazzled costume, or her perfect pirouettes that resonated so viscerally with little Stella. What we do know is that her family has found "one of her loves!" According to Stella's mom, Stella will attend her first ballet this winter - with the hope of seeing Abigail perform again.

Based on the ridiculously high degree of cuteness that quantifies their first interaction, we also hope that Stella and Cowan can reunite. And that someone has a camera around when it happens.
