Jenn Tran knows that hate is never the answer.

In a since-deleted Instagram Stories post, the Bachelorette star discouraged fans from “cyberbullying” her ex-fiancé Devin Strader after revealing on the After the Final Rose special that he ended their engagement during a 15-minute phone call.

“Tonight was hard. I am so overwhelmed by the love you have all given me. With every message of love I want to say loud and clear I do NOT condone hate messages to anyone,” she shared while seemingly referring to Strader. “There is no need to rub salt in anyone’s wound and truly supporting me you will understand that I lead with love and empathy.”

“I do not believe in spreading negative energy,” she continued. “People can be held accountable for their own actions in their lives without cyberbullying. The universe will work it all out.”

Tran noted that she has felt the online hate, which she endured following the announcement of her casting.

“Words hurt and I’ve been in the direct line of fire for that and I know what that feels like,” she wrote. “I don’t wish that upon anyone, no matter what.”

Tran shared that she is “healing” following the split from Strader, adding, “I am going to be okay but spreading hate or direct harm to someone else does not help my healing journey.”

During the After the Final Rose special, Tran shared that Starder's feelings changed almost immediately.

"As soon as we had left Hawai'i, things were just different," she told host Jesse Palmer. "It kind of just felt like he was pulling away all the promises that he had made to me — wanting to move somewhere together, and wanting to have this future planned out, and wanting to see each other all the time."

Strader later ended the engagement during a 15-minute phone call, she revealed.

When Palmer later asked Tran what she wanted her last words to Strader to be, she knew exactly what she was going to say to him.

"I hope that you learn that the weight of your words matter, and that if you're going to promise something, you should be able to fulfill those promises," she said. "I just I simply couldn't have done what you have done in that position. And when I love something, I nurture it and I value it, and I don't throw it away the next day."

During an interview on Good Morning America on Sept. 4, Tran said she's ready to "move on with my life” following the couple’s split — including taking part in the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars, on which she will be paired with pro-dancer Sasha Farber.
