The Bachelorette season 16's Tayshia Adams has recalled the time she almost ruined her entire season with a major spoiler.

In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, the reality star looked back on the moment when she inadvertently revealed that she was engaged on Instagram earlier this month, despite the show still being on air and a few weeks away from the finale.

Eagle-eyed fans caught a glimpse of her diamond ring on *that* finger while she was making a hot beverage in an Instagram Story, and Adams was forced to claim that it was just an everyday piece of jewellery during a later appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

However, she's now admitted that wasn't exactly true.

"I guess I can come clean now. I actually was freaking out. I was screaming, I was running all throughout the house," she laughed, before adding that she was with fiancé Zac Clark when she posted it. "He was with me, obviously, and it was a panic. But also at the same time, I kind of just played it off and it kind of just went away."

She quipped: "Honestly, who doesn't drink their coffee in the morning and have a couple diamonds on? Doesn't every girl do that? No?"

Now that the finale has finally aired and viewers know she chose Clark in the end, Adams admitted she's relieved to finally be able to wear her 3.5 carat Neil Lane sparkler all the time.

"We felt it pretty early on," she said of hers and the addiction specialist's whirlwind romance.

"But at the same time, I feel like we were both hesitant to acknowledge it, just because it's like, 'Hold on a second, this is happening way too fast. Are we really like, is this real? Is it just the situation?'

"I think it was during his hometown date that we were just like, 'It's undeniable. It was just screaming at us at that point."

The Bachelorette airs on ABC in the US, and UK fans can stream the series via Hayu.
