A VEHICLE left illegally parked at a busy traffic lights has caused huge tailbacks in Blackburn.

The silver Vauxhall was spotted by commuters early this morning and was still in the same spot at midday.

The vehicle was parked precariously on the corner of the Buncer Lane and Redlam junction. It has been left on double yellow lines, parked illegally.

School traffic was backed up all the up to Wensley Road at rush hour as drivers tried to negotiate the bend and avoid the car.

A nearby beauty salon said they had seen it this morning but were unsure who it belonged to.

There was no signage to say the vehicle had broken down.
