The 2021 BAFTA TV Awards will be broadcast on Sunday night.
With most people spending a lot of the past 18 months at home watching television, this year’s ceremony is bound to be packed full of small screen favourites.
But how can you tune in? Who is presenting? And who is likely to win?
Here’s what you need to know.
How do I watch the BAFTA TV Awards 2021?
The 2021 Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards will take place on Sunday 6th June, airing on BBC One at 7pm.
Who is hosting?
Richard Ayoade! His hosting role comes after he won Best Male Comedy Performance BAFTA for The IT Crowd seven years ago.
The Virgin Media BAFTAs Back to the Red Carpet Show will be presented by comedian Tom Allen and presenter AJ Odudu.
Will there be any celebrity presenters?
Yep! Ayoade will be joined on stage by a host of famous faces giving out awards.
Strictly winner Bill Bailey It’s A Sin stars Lydia West and Olly Alexander, Line of Duty‘s Adrian Dunbar, The Beast Must Die‘s Cush Jumbo and Bridgerton‘s Golda Rosheuvel are among the presenters.
As it wouldn’t be 2020/2021 without a bit of Zoom, Bob Mortimer and Catherine Zeta-Jones are set to appear via video-call.
Any performances to look forward to?
Opening the BAFTA TV Awards will be Alexander with a performance of his latest single, Starstruck.
“I’m so excited to be performing Starstruck at the BAFTA TV Awards this year! We’re performing outside next to the red carpet so I’m looking forward to serenading the stars as they arrive,” he said in a statement. “I’m also going to be reunited with the love of my life, Lydia West, and presenting an award, it’s going to be such a good night!”
The star was the talk of the Brit Awards thanks to his performance of Pet Shop Boys classic It’s A Sin with Elton John.
Later in the evening, pianist Alexis Ffrench will perform “Blue Bird” as a special musical tribute during a moment of reflection.
Who has been nominated?
The Crown, I May Destroy You, Sex Education, Small Axe and Normal People are up for multiple awards.
