What did you miss?
The Great British Bake Off descended into chaos when Noel Fielding shattered a glass bowl containing Nelly's caramel almost ruining her bake.
It comes just two weeks after one Bake Off star collapsed and another quit in shocking scenes that aired on the Channel 4 show. This week was Caramel Week, and saw yet more drama unfold in the tent.
Bake Off's host Fielding can always be found laughing and fooling around while the contestants are hard at work on their bakes but he accidentally almost jeopardised one of the baker's chances during the all important technical challenge.
In jaw-dropping scenes aired on Tuesday 15 October, the TV presenter smashed a glass bowl when he struck it with a rolling pin that he was using like a baseball bat while contestant Nelly watched on in horror as her ingredients went all over the floor of the tent.
What, how and why?
It all started when the contestants were tasked with making a pear tarte tatin for the technical challenge, based on judge Prue Leith's recipe. Amidst the busy bakers an idea came to a mischievous Fielding. "Is this leftovers?" He asked about the leftover dough. He quipped: "We can throw this at someone."
Andy encouraged Fielding to throw the ball of dough into his baseball cap before he pelted it back at the telly star. The presenter had held the rolling pin like a baseball bat to hit the ball of dough, only to miss and smash the glass bowl - much to the horror of Nelly.

'Bake Off has gone off the boil. Is it time to give it a rest?'
Shocked himself, Fielding covered his mouth with his hand. "You didn't need that?" Only she did. Time was ticking with only 15 minutes until the end of the third major challenge. "Yes I did," she said.
"Oh my God," Fielding responded. Worrying then, he was quick to ask her whether another batch of caramel could be turned around in the time. "What are we going to do? Have we got time to make some more?"
Luckily, Nelly said she did have time to whip up more caramel ahead of the end of the challenge.
Meanwhile, the sheepish looking Bake Off host begun to clean up his mess including hoovering the floor where the broken glass had shattered.
Despite the delay and moment of panic, the baker saw the funny side of the situation. "If I'm gonna go home, he will drive me home in a posh car," she said.
One wrote on social media platform X: "You are a dolt, Noel! #GBBO." Another said: "Not such a delicate cat after all, Noel #GBBO" And another posted: "Noel is a menace! #GBBO."
Many viewers were somewhat distracted by contestant Dylan's headwear. The 20-year-old retail temp from Buckinghamshire chose to wear a navy blue baker boy cap, placed nonchalantly on top of his long, dark curls.

His strong-look did not go unnoticed by viewers. One wrote: "When you’ve got bake off at 4 but you’ve got Romeo and Juliet at 5" Another said: "Dylan in Paris". While another compared his look to Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean and commented: "Hopefully his transformation will be complete by Pirate Week."
But many viewers spotted that Dylan's hat looked a lot by that worn by mouse Fievel in Disney animation An American Tail. One asked: "Why’s Dylan cosplaying as Fievel Mousekewitz? Is it Russian week?"

Another tweeted: "Dylans outfit on #GBBO must be Fievel inspired" And another observed: "Dylan is cosplaying as Fievel."
Elsewhere, midwife Illiyin burst into tears and had to be consoled by host Alison Hammond because her caramel kept splitting in the showstopper challenge to make a caramel mousse cake. Meanwhile, fan-favourite Nelly confided she met her husband in a kebab shop. Hammond told her: "No better place to meet someone!"
But it was farmer Mike who was sent home after judge Paul Hollywood called his mousse cake "just a tiramisu cake with some mousse in it." The tearful 29-year-old said: "I feel like it was my time to go. I feel like I'm just a farmer who bakes and everyone else is just breathtaking." He told the others: "I'm just gonna miss you guys. That's why I'm sad. One thing my mum said to me was don't cry. I'm really happy, but I'm really sad."
Nurse Georgie came top in the technical and wowed with her peanut caramel fingers and mousse cake, and was awarded star baker.
The Great British Bake Off airs Channel 4 at 8pm on Tuesday.
