We didn't think it would be possible without the icon that is Mary Berry, but apparently The Great British Bake Off is going to be boozier than ever in its brand-new home.

Admitting that new judge Prue Leith is "definitely" naughtier than Mary, Paul Hollywood told The Sun just how rowdy things get with the new gang.

The judge, who was apparently very hungover at the time, admitted there was "lots of laughter" and "certainly more drinking going on – much more than before".

Revealing that everyone is now up for a late night, Paul reminisced about Mary's staying power. "The only person to stay up more than anybody before was probably Mary," he conceded.

We're planning a night out with Mary and Prue. Who wants to come?

But although Paul sounds as though he's having a great time with Prue, Sandi and Noel, he's still missing Mary, Mel and Sue. Like the rest of us.

"I have missed Mary, Mel and Sue," he recently told Closer. "When I started filming the new Bake Off it was hard."

Bake Off fans will finally get to see how the new team fare in the tent when the show airs on Channel 4 on Tuesday, August 29 – which is a highly controversial date, believe it or not.

Originally scheduled to clash with the BBC's new competition The Big Family Cooking Showdown, the BBC have now moved their show to Thursday nights.

Confirming the news to Digital Spy, the channel described Channel 4's scheduling as "a surprise to many viewers who may see this as a cynical move". The aprons are off.
