Bake Off star pens inspiring goodbye letter after Bread Week exit
The Great British Bake Off, season 15, episode 3 spoilers follow.
John has bid farewell to The Great British Bake Off in a poignant goodbye letter.
Tuesday's (October 8) trip to the Bake Off tent saw the 10 remaining bakers put to the test in one of the hardest themes of the year — Bread Week! Fans know that Paul Hollywood can be extra strict on the contestants given his breadmaking background.
The bakers were challenged to put their own spin on savoury buns in the Signature and bake a plaited loaf in the Technical, while the Showstopper challenged everyone to create a bread cornucopia.
Unfortunately, John's time in the Bake Off tent came to an end following the challenging Showstopper. After John's exit aired, the eliminated baker said goodbye in an inspiring note posted on Twitter/X.

"What a journey it has been," John wrote. "Who would have thought after being a Bake Off fan-boy for 14 years, I'd be one of the bakers?"
The baker described his time in the tent as "an honour and the most amazing experience of [his] life" and encouraged fans to chase their dreams.
"Stay strong and believe in yourself because I can prove that dreams do come true," he wrote to viewers.
This week's episode only bid farewell to one baker, after a difficult show last week where both Jeff and Hazel had to say goodbye.
Jeff withdrew from the season due to illness, while Hazel became the first baker officially eliminated by Paul and Prue when her Hyperrealistic Illusion Cake in the Showstopper failed to impress.

Despite the difficult reasons for his departure, Jeff wrote in his goodbye note that Bake Off had been an "amazing experience".
"Although I was not able to continue for long, I still had the pleasure of meeting all the incredible bakers from Series 15," he wrote. "What a wonderful group of people, and they were also excellent bakers. The production team are the nicest, most hard-working people you will ever come across. They are so supportive and positive. All the very best, always, Jeff with every good wish!"
The Great British Bake Off and its spin-off Bake Off: An Extra Slice both air on Channel 4 in the UK. In the US, it's known as The Great British Baking Show, and streams on Netflix.
