Bake Off's Alison recalls Prue's innuendo that "killed" her during filming
The Great British Bake Off spoilers follow.
Bake Off's new host Alison Hammond has recalled an innuendo made by Prue Leith that had her in stitches.
This Morning presenter Alison, known for her infectious and instantly recognisable laugh, shared that there was a moment in her first episode where a contestant made a beaver-themed cake.
"It was hilarious," she said (via The Mirror). "Prue was saying, 'Tell me about your beaver'. I've never crumbled to the floor as quickly as when I heard Prue say that.

"Prue absolutely killed me. It was the delivery of the line – it was the best I’ve ever seen."
Prue is similarly positive about Alison, stating: "She loves everybody – the bakers, the camera operators. They could not have done better than with Alison because she brings a sort of hilarity, which we didn’t have before."
Having said that, Prue added: "Alison bounced into the tent and took it over. We sometimes say, 'Shut up, Alison, this is our bit'."

Alison recently explained that when she first auditioned for the show, she wasn't nervous about it and was okay with not getting the role, until she met Noel Fielding.
"When I met Noel, I realised I wanted the job because I really liked him. He was charming, funny, into art. I am as well. I paint. We had lots in common," she said.
