Mary Berry has admitted that she had some reservations about Celebrity Best Home Cook.

The former Great British Bake Off judge has been casting her eye over the famous faces as they battle out for the title.

Speaking on Lorraine, Mary explained: "To start with I was a little bit worried, because I didn't think they would take it seriously.

"But they certainly have. And the standard has gone up and up and up. They are true cooks. They've got better and better as the programme has gone on."

Tonight's final (February 17) will see Celebs Go Dating's Tom Read Wilson battle it out against former Strictly Come Dancing star Ed Balls and journalist Rachel Johnson.

Former TOWIE star Ferne McCann missed out on a spot in the final after struggling with a pasta dish.

The mum-of-one was supposed to serve five pieces of ravioli, but struggled with the timing and only ended up serving three at the last moment.

As she didn't complete the task correctly, Ferne was sent home, which made her get tearful.

"I've loved cooking for your guys and thank you so much," she said.

"I can't stop sobbing and no-one can cuddle me," she added of the social distancing restrictions.

She later said: "My emotions got the better of me. Gutted. This meant so much to me but I am so proud of myself.

"It's gonna be a month of takeaways because I am all cooked out!"

Celebrity Best Home Cook continues tonight (February 17) at 9pm on BBC One.
