Balloon Surprise: Welsh Family Continues to Celebrate Health Worker Mom During Coronavirus Outbreak

A family in Ewloe, Wales, has been keeping up a new tradition of celebrating their health care worker mother as she comes home from work.

The Lake family welcomed Lynne with a new surprise April 1 as she returned home from her job as a nurse during the coronavirus pandemic. She’s been greeted with a standing ovation, a song, and confetti. On Wednesday, the family surprised her with balloons, less messy yet no less fun than confetti.

After Lynne walks through the front door, the family all begin to kick balloons and cheer for her as she smiles and begins to kick the balloons as well.
