The White House has confirmed reports that US President Barack Obama played a round of golf on Sunday with Tiger Woods.
The game came at the end of a weekend golf holiday in Florida for the president while wife Michelle Obama and their two daughters are skiing in Colorado.
The foursome that teed off at the Floridian Yacht and Golf Club was rounded out by US trade representative Ron Kirk and Texas businessman Jim Crane, who owns the resort.
The outing is said to be the first time the president has golfed with the former child prodigy.
Fourteen-time champion Woods, currently ranked the world's number two player, has kept a low profile since 2009 when his squeaky clean image was erased by a now-notorious sex scandal.
The president is an avid golfer, playing more than 100 rounds during his first term in office.
