Bargain Hunt's Tim Wonnacott is selling his Sussex home for £2.75 million
Former Bargain Hunt presenter Tim Wonnacott is selling his four-bedroom country home 'Whitefoots' for £2.75 million, and, unsurprisingly, it's an antiques sleuths dream.
Old paintings, ceramics and silverware fill every nook and cranny of the ancient Sussex farmhouse which has been lovingly restored by the ex-auctioneer and his wife, Sue, over the past six years.
Underfloor heating, a 42ft open-plan vaulted lounge, three modern bathrooms and a separate chef's kitchen have been added without detracting from the property's historic past.
And the family home isn't the only draw. Amongst the sprawling 10 acres of private land, you'll find two other properties included in the sale price.
'Blackfoots' is a 2000 sq ft three bedroom detached cottage. Built to the same high standards as the house, it boasts a beautiful drawing room and minstrels gallery, spacious 28ft kitchen/breakfast room, master bedroom suite with French doors onto a balcony, and two further bedrooms, each with ensuite wet rooms – perfect for guests, or listing on Airbnb.
There's also 'Greyfoots'. This newly built outbuilding is currently used as garaging and offices, but could easily be adapted as a gym, playroom or home cinema.
With private tennis courts, acres of land to get lost in, and no neighbours, this really is the perfect place to while away the days.
Whitefoots is on the market with local agents Strutt & Parker.
