Christina Trevanion, a familiar face on BBC's Bargain Hunt, initially kick-started her television career with Flog It! before being approached by one of the series' producers to become an expert on Bargain Hunt.

With a solid 15 years working for various auction houses, in 2014 she made the bold move to establish her very own auction house in her native Shropshire. Christina is passionate about the unpredictability of her job, saying she loved the fact no two days are the same.

When discussing her everyday experiences, the auctioneer remarked, "One day I can be covered in cobwebs rummaging around in someone's loft looking for priceless treasures; the next I can be giving a lecture to a group on early English porcelain."

Expressing her dedication to the field, she added, "The antiques industry isn't just a vocation, it's a way of life, and it's the only thing I've ever wanted to do."

It's clear that she wouldn't want to be anywhere else but immersed in the world of antiques.

In a more personal reflection away from her professional life and time spent in front of the TV cameras, Christina gave insights into her family and personal pursuits.

Daughter to David and Hazel Trevanion, Christina faces the loss of her father with both sorrow and honour. Sharing a heartfelt post on X, once known as Twitter, during Father's Day, she paid homage to him: "Thinking of all those who couldn't hold their dad's hand today and celebrating all the wonderful fathers out there."

She continued with a message of remembrance, "To your daughters (and sons) you are heroes. Remembering my dear dad with an ache in my heart and a smile on my face."

Her academic journey took her from Bishop Heber High School in Malpas, Cheshire, to Southampton Solent University where she continued her education.

Upon kicking off her career, she walked down the aisle and welcomed two children into the world. Discussing her downtime, she quipped: "As a busy mum of two, with a full-time job and a part-time job, I don't get a lot of free time."

"So when I do it is spent with my family and friends, in my garden, at home."

Bargain Hunt airs on weekdays on BBC One at 12.15pm
