Barnet scored three goals in nine minutes to stun League Two relegation candidates Cheltenham Town on Saturday.

Danny Wright opened the scoring for the visitors, latching on to a flick on from midfielder to chip the ball over goalkeeper Jamie Stephens.

Barnet striker Simeon Akinola came close to levelling the scores soon after but brave defending from Will Boyle at the back post diverted the danger.

The Robins went close to extending their lead soon after the break as Carl Winchester cracked the crossbar with a free kick, and were soon made to rue the miss.

Hesitation in the Cheltenham defence allowed Curtis Weston the space to equalise from close range before John Akinde added a quick-fire double to seal the win.

A cross from out wide was headed past Scott Brown before the 27-year-old striker ran through to beat the goalkeeper in a one-on-one situation.

The result moves Barnet up to 14th thanks to a first win in eight games. Cheltenham remain in 22nd place with a fourth loss on the bounce.
