Harvey Weinstein’s fall from grace is to be the subject of a BBC Two documentary.

Made by production company Lightbox, the feature-length film has the working title of Weinstein and will include interviews with actresses involved in the scandal.

According to Deadline the programme will see actresses Rose McGowan, Paz de la Huerta, Asia Argento, Salma Hayek and Ashley Judd share their allegations of sexual harassment and abuse against the movie mogul.

They will be joined by reporters who helped break the story and Hollywood insiders, with Ursula McFarlane directing.

BBC Two controller Patrick Holland said he hoped the film would be the 'definitive documentary about the Weinstein scandal'.

He said: "The breaking of silence over Harvey Weinstein is a watershed moment for the creative industries and for wider society.

"Ursula is a brilliant film-maker and is perfectly placed to make the definitive documentary, piecing together the story of just how he abused his power and position."

BBC commissioner Tom McDonald promised the show would "ask difficult and challenging questions about complicity, the price of silence and the corrosive effects of power".

More than 50 women have made accusations of sexual assault and harassment against the disgraced producer.

Cases are being investigated by police forces in the UK and the US.

Weinstein has ‘unequivocally’ denied all allegations of non-consensual sex made against him.
