BBC Antiques Road Trip's star horrified by item that would make her 'run a mile'
Antiques Road Trip expert Catherine Southon made a candid confession during the latest episode as she presented a rather eerie teddy bear on the BBC show. Catherine and her co-star Ishy Khan returned for another episode on Thursday (November 28), touring Wiltshire and Somerset in search of unique antiques to later auction off.
However, when Catherine discovered an unusual teddy bear, she could not hide her horror due to its unsettling appearance, reports the Express. Holding the item, she said: "If I was a two-three-year-old toddler and I was faced with this, I would run a mile."
"Seriously! I mean, no one would buy him. Aww you poor bear."

Later in the show, Catherine and Ishy competed at auction to see if any of their chosen items from the antique shops held any value. With Ishy having bested Catherine three times this week, he was confident of another victory. However, it wasn't meant to be.
In a surprising twist, Catherine won Thursday's episode, despite making a loss. But as Ishy's loss was significantly larger, Catherine finally claimed a win.
On Wednesday's show (November 27), Catherine was left stunned when her item didn't fetch a high price at auction. Her find, a set of silver-plated lobster picks in a blue-lined case which she bought for £35, was among the lots hoping to make a profit.
The atmosphere quickly turned as the auction room's initial buzz cooled off, with bids starting at a surprisingly low £10 and barely climbing to £15. This left auction expert Catherine shell-shocked, who exclaimed in disbelief: "I'm speechless! £15 for a set of lobster pickers?!"
Ishy's following item didn't fare much better either. He presented a unique set of silver duck napkin rings, valued at £40, only to watch bids stall at £15. The auctioneer couldn't hide his surprise, noting: "I thought they'd do a little bit more than that."
