BBC Breakfast host admits royal update is 'unlike anything we've seen before'
BBC Breakfast presenter Jon Kay, alongside co-host Sally Nugent, shared their reaction to an unprecedented update on Princess Kate's health, stating "it's unlike anything we've seen before" during the morning programme.
Jon Kay and Sally were back anchoring from the renowned red couch on Tuesday (September 10), updating viewers with the days headline news. The health of the Princess of Wales was a major focal point following the release of a video wherein she updated the public about her current wellbeing.
Princess Kate, who had earlier disclosed in March the discovery of pre-cancerous cells following abdominal surgery, appeared in the heartfelt clip filmed in Norfolk with Prince William and their three children. It was here that she announced the completion of her chemotherapy treatments.

Following the airing of the video, Jon Kay remarked: "Gorgeous to see and unlike anything we've ever seen before." Sally Nugent concurred with his feelings, reports the Express.
Offering additional details, Sally noted the video, which was shot last month, showcased Kate's acknowledgment of her "scary" and "unpredictable" ordeal with health, yet she is looking forward to resuming Royal engagements in the near future. In the footage, the Princess was captured strolling through a meadow with her family and relishing a picnic.
In the heartfelt video, Kate expressed: "As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown."
She also shared the profound effect the experience has had on her family, stating: "The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you".
Kate further reflected on the personal lessons learned during this challenging time: "This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved."
It has been reported that the princess plans to join other members of the Royal Family at the Cenotaph for Remembrance Sunday in November, with her future engagements depending on her strength and ability as she eases back into public life.
In her update, Kate also extended her gratitude towards the support from the public, saying: "Everyone's kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling. To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey - I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright."
