BBC Breakfast Naga Munchetty tells co-host to 'try harder' as weather forecast is 'always their fault'
BBC Breakfast star Naga Munchetty cheekily told her colleague to "try harder" after a spell of poor weather forecasts. Naga was back on the famous red sofa on Saturday morning (September 14) alongside her co-host Ben Thompson.
However, it was when weather presenter Sarah Keith-Lucas joined that Naga playfully didn't hold back her comments. Naga admitted that she had stopped her complaints about the weather forecast telling Sarah: "It's been a while Sarah that I haven't whined at our forecasters and I'm not whining at you today."
Ben humorously contributed, quipping: "Because it's all their fault." To which Naga quipped: "Yes, particularly Sarah's!".
Sarah replied, acknowledging the challenge: "I mean I try but it doesn't always work out."

Naga teased back: "Keep trying harder. Try harder, you're doing better today!" She then chuckled and segued into what viewers could expect next from the programme. Ben also seemed to share a chuckle at Naga's playful remark.
Later, after another favourable weather forecast, both Ben and Naga offered applause as a joke for Sarah, with Naga joyfully saying: "There you go Sarah, another round of applause for you! ".
This wasn't the first instance of on-air teasing by Naga that week. On Friday (September 13), Naga was on the red sofa with regular anchor Charlie Stayt.
Only minutes into the show, Naga playfully ribbed Charlie, aged 62, who seemed visibly uncomfortable during a particular discussion. The duo touched on the existing fly infestations in Wales with correspondent Hywel Griffith's input.
Naga remarked: "Residents of a village in South Wales say they've been inundated by a mysterious swarm of flies."
Charlie said: "People living in Bettws near Bridgend say they can't open their windows or eat lunch in peace because of the insects," However, as the footage showing deceased flies was broadcasted, Charlie struggled to conceal his revulsion.
Spotting his grimace, Naga queried: "Has that bothered you? " at which point her serious demeanour dissolved into laughter upon Charlie confessing his distaste for the segment.
His response was straightforward: "A bit like that, isn't it? Urgh."
Charlie and Naga are known to anchor BBC Breakfast from Thursday through Saturday. Yet, in recent programming, Charlie was notably absent, leading Ben to step in his shoes, accompanying Naga on the iconic red sofa.
