BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty supported by fans as she makes career announcement after health diagnosis
BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty has announced an exciting development in her career, revealing to fans that she has authored a new book focused on women's healthcare.
The seasoned presenter took to Instagram to share the news about her forthcoming read, titled 'It's Probably Nothing', urging women to "take their health seriously".
Drawing from personal experiences and wider systemic struggles, the book examines critical issues surrounding women's health and their treatment within medical systems.
Accompanied by a snapshot of the book's cover, Naga posed the pressing question in her caption: "Why can the healthcare system feel rigged against women? And how can women be empowered to fight for an answer beyond just being told they're 'unlucky?'"
Determined to offer guidance and support, she described how the book weaves together personal stories, conversations with experts, and factual insights, driven by her own journey in being diagnosed with adenomyosis, reports the Express.
"Using extensive interviews and medical evidence, as well as my own experience getting diagnosed with adenomyosis, I have aimed to put together a handbook for women at every stage of their lives that will help them get the care they deserve," Naga penned.
Concluding her post with a strong message: It's time our health is taken seriously."

Naga was met with enthusiasm from followers cheering on her latest project. Fans expressed their excitement in the comments section, appreciating the groundbreaking work Munchetty continues to do.
"Thank you for shining a light on this Naga! As a women's homelessness organisation we see first-hand the devastating health impacts that marginalisation can have - the average age of death for women who are sleeping rough is just 43. Whilst there are complicated reasons for this, health is a huge contributor."
"Thank you for writing this. I have had it confirmed today that I need a hysterectomy, after years of struggling with endometriosis and adenomyosis. This book is so needed," another gushed.
A third penned: "This is so amazing! Well done and congratulations Naga, can't wait to read it and add it to my collection."
The book is set for release in April 2025, but fans can pre-order.
Meanwhile, the beloved presenter, who graces our screens from Thursday to Saturday each week alongside Charlie Stayt, has landed an exciting new role as she gets ready to replace Nihal Arthanayake on BBC Radio 5 Live, who leaves his post after an admirable eight-year stretch.
TV critics Scott Bryan and Hayley Campbell will continue their roles in the revamped show. With Naga joining them, the dynamic team will offer listeners insightful tips and guides on what's hot and what's not in TV and streaming content, ensuring they don't miss out on any must-see programmes.
Naga has remained tight-lipped about her latest challenge.
