BBC Breakfast's Sarah Keith Lucas steps in to correct Roger Johnson's timing mistake
BBC Breakfast's weather presenter Sarah Keith Lucas had to step in and correct her colleague Roger Johnson after he made a blunder with the time during the show. On the Sunday edition (September 15), Roger was seated on the iconic red sofa with co-host Luxmy Gopal, delivering the day's top stories from the UK and around the world.
Later in the programme, they transitioned to Sarah for the latest weather update. However, Roger slipped up, prompting a swift correction from Sarah.
As he introduced her, he said: "Quarter to nine. Let's get a check on the weather if you're just peeking out from under the duvet. Morning Sarah, how's it looking?" Looking somewhat puzzled, Sarah responded: "Well I think it's not looking quarter to nine Roger. It's quarter to eight."

Caught off guard, Roger exclaimed: "Oh did I say quarter nine? " Luxmy quickly jumped in, praising Sarah for her sharpness, saying she never misses a trick, reports the Express. Sarah then joked: "I thought 'Am I going crazy?' Don't worry everyone," as she brushed off the minor error with a laugh.
During Saturday's BBC Breakfast, Sarah joined hosts Naga Munchetty and Ben Thompson. However, she was taken aback when Naga teasingly blamed her for any undesirable weather, stating that although she doesn't need to grumble about the weather at present, she often playfully accuses Sarah whenever the forecasts don't meet her expectations.
During the broadcast, Naga Munchetty said: "It's been a while Sarah that I haven't whined at our forecasters and I'm not whining at you today." In an attempt to grasp what Naga meant, Ben Thompson joined in, saying: "Because it's all their fault."
To which, Naga humorously retorted: "Yes, particularly Sarah's!" In response, meteorologist Sarah Keith-Lucas added: "I mean I try but it doesn't always work out."
Naga playfully suggested: "Keep trying harder. Try harder, you're doing better today!". After her comments, Naga chuckled before moving on to introduce the upcoming parts of the show, with Ben Thompson also seeming to be amused by Naga's forthright remarks.
Later in the segment, following another favourable weather update, Ben and Naga light-heartedly clapped for Sarah, prompting Naga to say: "There you go Sarah, another round of applause for you! ".
